Welcome to the Club
My name is Vicky D'Incecco and I'm a shoemaker, artist, & a lover of footwear history!
One of my greatest joys comes from sharing my knowledge of shoemaking, gained over almost 10 years of experience, and making it approachable for a new generation of makers!
I aim to teach you how to create the shoes of your dreams by using vintage recreation projects as practice, learning the techniques & applying them to anything you wish to create!
Not just learning to make shoes, but using proper techniques to achieve beautiful results!
We're here to build community, learn, explore different shoemaking techniques, and ultimately have a fun creating together!
Some of the most innovative shoes are found in history, and I’m always eager to learn more about the styles themselves, who made them, and how.
If it sparks joy, join me!

FAQs
The biggest difference is that The Club is designed to be a community project, something we work on together! This means that it happens during a specific time-frame and it includes LIVE coaching via zoom or email for the duration of the project.
The Virtual Atelier is a place for short tutorials and evergreen courses. This means the courses are pre-recorded so you learn at your own pace, but don't include live coaching.
Courses in The Club are a combination of pre-recorded content & LIVE coaching via Zoom or email (depending on your preference) for the duration of the project.
Yes! My shop offers payment plans through ShopPay.
For life!
I have designed the courses to allow you to use any last you have! But if you specifically want to use the same last/heel combo I use, be sure to order through my Supply Shop Pre-Orders. Or in some cases you will be given the opportunity to shop course-specific kits!
All required tools and materials will be mentioned during the course introduction, but it is basically: a knife, scissors, lasting pliers, hammer, and access to a sewing machine. As for materials: upper leather/fabric, contact cement, leather for insoles/outsoles, and shanks.
Yes! Unless otherwise specified. I do my best to explain everything in detail, so that a complete beginner will still be able to understand.
But in case you don't, the live coaching session can help you out!
If you didn't sign up in time you will still be able to take the course "evergreen" (or pre-recorded). Evergreen courses don't include live coaching but have the option to add-on some live sessions with me!
During The Club live courses, we will have a set start and end date so we can create our shoes together and I can schedule the coaching sessions. Modules will become available as the course progresses.
After the course time-frame has ended, you will be able to access all content any time!
I have almost 10 years of experience crafting shoes using traditional techniques. I have worked for private clients making bespoke work, shoes for films, and most recently a collection of made-to-order shoes sold direct to consumer & at a boutique in Brooklyn, NY.
My focus on excellent quality and finishes has allowed me to seek out the best practices to achieve the most beautiful results. Using time-honored old-world shoemaking techniques, exploring history, and shoemaking in the same way as my favorite makers of the past!
Absolutely not! I'm here to show you the way but your creativity should always be considered. Use any material you want, any color you want, or even change the design.
My goal is to teach you the methods so you can make anything you dream!
My courses are designed for anyone to be able to make their shoes, regardless of access to a workshop. I have made shoes from home for many years!
Access to a sewing machine is highly recommended.
