This Add-On is required if you're interested in a wider fit for your shoes.
Since I'm only offering standard sizes due to the lasts currently available, one way to accommodate wider feet is to request they be lasted using a technique that produces a larger shoe in the end. Essentially, the added width will be included in the bottom of the last via leather build-ups. This process allows only one width size up from standard, max E width.
